WINERIES

All the wineries that, for their characteristics, are included in the denomination created on 2 August 2011, can bear the Roma Doc denomination: “Roma Doc”.

Only wineries that make Roma Doc wines can join Consorzio di Tutela vini Roma Doc, the consortium created on 27 June 2018 that currently consists of a Chairman, a Board, and 47 Associates, between including producers and bottlers, over an area totalling 305 hectares devoted to vineyards, for a total output exceeding one million bottles.

Consorzio di Tutela Vini Roma Doc promotes a transparent and reliable model of wine production and guarantees its traceability from the vineyard to the bottle; it is responsible for complying with the rules established by the production Regulations, which underlie its very identity; it is responsible for managing the production depending on the market; it protects the denomination from the countless possible forms of fraud and imitation; it oversees the communication and valorisation of the brand, the territory, and the participating wineries through various forms of promotion in Italy and elsewhere in the world.
